Beginning in January, 2010, each Monday morning, La Belle Arnaudville will publish the events for the week beginning that day. Please subscribe to La Belle Arnaudville so these events can be delivered right to your e-mail inbox. While we are happy to bring information about these events to local folks, we are also excited to be able to show those who do not live here just what it is we’ve got!

2nd Annual Festival of Words
This literary event takes place on Oct. 27, 28, 29, 30 & 31 this year. There will be writing workshops, readings, poetry drive-bys, and many other events. The events will take place in Sunset, Grand Coteau and Arnaudville.

Bayou Teche CleanUp Fundraiser
This fundraiser hopes to raise about $3,000 to construct a heavy lifting barge for the purpose of cleaning up Bayou Teche from Port Barre to St. Martinville. Blake Couvillion is the director of Cajuns for Bayou Teche and president of the Teche Cleanup Project. Music for the evening will be provided by BonSoir, Catin; Drew Landry; and David Greely & Friends.
Location: Café des Amis in Breaux Bridge.
Time: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Complementary Wine Tasting, provided by Café des Amis from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM

La Table Française de Arnaudville
Breakfast en francais, along with maybe a little Bouree, and sing songs in French. You can even learn a French “word of the day.” These are wonderful events that help to keep our language and culture alive. Even if you don’t speak French, do come and enjoy being part of our community. This event takes place on the last Saturday of every month.

This event takes place every Saturday. Local musicians bring the flavor of a Fred’s in Mamou to the other side of Acadiana. We all need to support these events to keep our music and our culture strong and healthy.
